Getting to Know the Saints

Thanks to the sisters at Moniales OP for correcting me. The feast of Blessed Manes, brother of St Dominic is indeed on 18 August and not yesterday as I mistakenly reported.

Thanks also to the good sisters for pointing out this amazing site: Hagiography Circle. In the words of the site, it is: "a body of young scholars bound by a common interest in “re-telling” the lives of contemporary models of holiness who, within the past seven years, have dedicated some of their time to reading, translating, and reflecting on biographies sent to us by promoters of beatification and canonization causes.

This generosity has enabled us to establish a collection of more than 5,000 biographies in English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Polish, Latin, Chinese, Hungarian, and other languages, as well as thousands of photographs of these models of holiness.

This website is the result of years of research and collaboration between the members of the Hagiography Circle with the Congregation of the Causes of Saints and the promoters of beatification and canonization processes."
