Contemplata aliis Tradere

A meagre contribution to the mission and work of the Order of Preachers: my reflections, thoughts, ideas and the occasional rant on matters mainly theological, philosophical and ecclesiastical, drawn primarily from my reading and experience of life and the world. Striving to be always Catholic, firmly Christian and essentially Dominican, flavoured with dashes of Von Balthasar.

A pilgrim and way-farer, a searcher for Truth on the journey of Life... "Wherever the Catholic sun doth shine, There’s always laughter and good red wine. At least I’ve always found it so. Benedicamus Domino!" - Hilaire Belloc

Stational Churches

I have been inserting bite-sized information about the Stational churches of Rome for Lent and (where possible) a photo of the church, but you may want more information:

One of the best sites for this is the North American College website. It's well worth a visit, especially if you're in Rome and want to join the American seminarians for their daily visits to the appointed churches and prayers at 7am.

Rocco Palmo also has some information on today's Stational church of Ss Giovanni e Paolo and links to the above site too.

The Vatican website of course is authoritative on this matter, although an ability to read Italian is necessary to go beyond the first page and glean any further information.
