Contemplata aliis Tradere
A meagre contribution to the mission and work of the Order of Preachers: my reflections, thoughts, ideas and the occasional rant on matters mainly theological, philosophical and ecclesiastical, drawn primarily from my reading and experience of life and the world. Striving to be always Catholic, firmly Christian and essentially Dominican, flavoured with dashes of Von Balthasar.

brother:
wow, wicked photos - i love them! the roman rite has given us such a treasury! thanks!
Thanks for your welcome. I was delighted to see your shots of the Blessed Sacrament Procession. Apart from Our Lord, I also recognised Sr Jordan with whom I have been on World Youth Day and who has been on Faith Movement events. A great witness to religious life for young girls.
I love the vestments, but why the need for the nun to bear a torch?? Surely there was a novice or two?? Or even an ordinary server?
There are only two novices in total! One was singing (and thus holding on to sheet music), another was swinging a thurible. There were three servers. One had yet another thurible and the other two held acolytes' candles together with the Cross-bearer, who was a non-ordained brother.
Had we enough man-power, the deacon and the nun would not have had to hold the torches! Sr Jordan has originally been asked to take photographs for me... but was needed to carry the torch.
Dear Bro. Lawrence,
Like Fr. Boyle, I recall Sr. Jordan from WYD'02. We were in the same parish for Days in the Dioceses that were held before the great shindig in Toronto. I am glad to see she is well.
