Contemplata aliis Tradere

A meagre contribution to the mission and work of the Order of Preachers: my reflections, thoughts, ideas and the occasional rant on matters mainly theological, philosophical and ecclesiastical, drawn primarily from my reading and experience of life and the world. Striving to be always Catholic, firmly Christian and essentially Dominican, flavoured with dashes of Von Balthasar.

Glorious Architecture!

As an afficionado of architecture and fine arts, I have long admired the beautiful work of Notre Dame University's architecture students and in particular, I think Matt Alderman at the Shrine of the Holy Whapping has come up with a wonderful hypothetical embassy for Slovenia.

Here is the man to put ink to paper and draw my ideal parish church building, which I already have conceived in my mind's eye and roughly on paper! Anyway, fantasies aside, check out Matt's work and the rest of his cohorts'.

The photo above is of the Entrance Portal of King's College, Cambridge.
