Contemplata aliis Tradere

A meagre contribution to the mission and work of the Order of Preachers: my reflections, thoughts, ideas and the occasional rant on matters mainly theological, philosophical and ecclesiastical, drawn primarily from my reading and experience of life and the world. Striving to be always Catholic, firmly Christian and essentially Dominican, flavoured with dashes of Von Balthasar.

The Nuns of Tyburn

Tyburn Convent, built near the site of the infamous gallows in London near Marble Arch at which hundreds of Catholics received the crown of martyrdom is a place special to the heart of any English Catholic.

The BBC put up this page on the Tyburn sisters yesterday and they are to be thanked and congratulated for their good work!

Via Laodicea.

In addition, in January, the BBC also did a feature page on the Blackfriars in Oxford, which I have mentioned before. Excellent and well worth a visit, especially for aspiring Dominicans!
